Trimix Instructor
BEYOND THE LIMITS
Course Overview
you can teach all trimix courses
This is the entry point for divers who want to explore deeper wrecks or reefs with the safety of a redundant gas supply and a technical mindset.
Who it is for
- check_circle Recreational divers looking to extend their depth limits beyond 30m responsibly.
- check_circle Those interested in the precision and technical rigor of staged decompression.
- check_circle Photographers and explorers who need more time at depth for specific missions.
Prerequisites
Outcome & Skills
Decompression Theory
Master the physics of nitrogen absorption and the implementation of staged decompression models.
Gas Management
Learn to utilize gas mixes up to EANx50 for accelerated decompression safety and efficiency.
Emergency Protocol
Respond to technical failures, from O-ring blowouts to gas loss, with disciplined procedure.
The Expedition Kit
twin tanks- stage
Minimum 5.7L / 40 cu ft stage cylinder with oxygen-clean regulator.
Technical Wing and Harness with redundant bladder or drysuit use.
Multi-gas Technical Computer (e.g., Shearwater) + backup device.
Phase Breakdown
eLearning & Theory
Independent study via the PADI Tec 40 digital portal. Covers advanced nitrogen modeling, technical equipment, and gas planning.
Confined Water / Skill Prep
Pool or shallow water session to master propulsion, buoyancy, and technical skills (VALVE drills, S-drills).
Training Dives 1 - 4
Progressive open water dives culminating in a simulated decompression dive to 40 meters.
Ready to cross the line?
Technical diving involves risks that exceed recreational limits. Training with the Shark Family ensures you receive instruction from elite technical divers who prioritize procedure over everything else.
